VA Home Loans

Helping veterans achieve the dream of homeownership.

VA Home Loans provide eligible veterans, active-duty service members, and surviving spouses with access to affordable home financing backed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Whether you are purchasing a home, refinancing, or exploring your eligibility, our team is here to help guide you through the process with clarity and support.

What is a VA Home Loan?

A VA Home Loan is a mortgage program designed to help veterans and eligible military families purchase, build, or refinance a home with favorable loan terms and reduced financial barriers. VA-backed loans are provided by private lenders and guaranteed in part by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Benefits of a VA Home Loan

Eligible borrowers may benefit from:

  • No down payment requirements in many cases
  • Competitive interest rates
  • No private mortgage insurance (PMI)
  • Flexible credit guidelines
  • Limited closing costs
  • Options for refinancing existing mortgages

VA Home Loans are designed to make homeownership more accessible and affordable for those who have served.

Who may qualify?

Eligibility may include:

  • Veterans who meet minimum service requirements
  • Active-duty service members
  • Certain National Guard and Reserve members
  • Eligible surviving spouses

A Certificate of Eligibility (COE) is typically required to verify qualification for the program.

How we help veterans

Navigating the home loan process can feel overwhelming. We assist veterans and families by:

  • Reviewing basic eligibility requirements
  • Explaining available VA loan options
  • Assisting with Certificate of Eligibility questions
  • Applying for your Certificate of Eligibility

Good to know

All other aspects of the loan are handled through the lender you choose. The VA does not provide the actual home loan — the Native American Direct Loan (NADL) is the exception.
