Financial Assistance

What are the limits on financial assistance applications?

An eligible applicant is limited to three applications in a twelve-month period. If an applicant applies for two years in a row, they must take a year off.

Do you need a bank statement for financial assistance applications?

A bank statement is helpful, but we require a transactional statement for the last 30 days for each application. This gives us the most up-to-date financial information for the application.

DFAS 1099-R Forms

How do I get my 1099-R from DFAS?

Our office does not have the ability to get your 1099-R from DFAS. We can assist veterans with this process, but DFAS will not communicate with anyone who is not the veteran.

Please use the following link and use one of the methods listed there: DFAS — Getting your 1099-R.

Military Retirement — Gray Area Retirees

Where do I find gray-area retirement information for my branch?

Each branch directs gray-area retirees to its own resources:

U.S. Army HRC — Gray Area Retirements Branch

Navy
